When he learns that his girlfriend, paleontologist Dr. Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore) is already on the island, he agrees to go, not realising that a rival expedition is on its way with plans to capture the dinosaurs and transport them to the mainland. 'Jurassic Park III' (2001) sees Alan Grant approached by Paul and Amanda Kirby (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni), a wealthy couple who want a guide to escort them on a flight over Isla Sorna. Grant agrees to take the flight but as soon as they are over the island, the couple attempt a landing.
