After working as an assistant to the renowned filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski, Isaacs has created three films that each capture a part of modern life in Britain. The first, 'Lift' (2001), is filmed in the elevator of a tower block in the East End of London, and captures the different reactions and behaviour of those who enter it. The second, 'Travellers' (2002), is a touching film about the human need for love, which is shown through the stories of five different people Isaacs meets on trains and at train stations across England.
